 Let's start with basic BCS math.  The three components: Harris and Coaches polls and the computer rankings each count for one-third.  Sounds easy and fair (if you like the BCS).  The problem is the hidden, extra, weight given the computers.

In fact the idea of being punished for helping a student academically seems absurd.  I don't care if the student is yours or not.  I'm not sure there should ever be a penalty for academically helping any student.  

The extra workouts are violations, but they seem minor. This poll will replace the AP in the BCS calculation.
